Movie Plot: A group of activists consisting of J.D., her younger sister Ellis, Jade’s boyfriend Sam, hackaker Billy and his friend Spencer have challenged Jade’s ex-boyfriend Dane on a video to visit an island amid a lake that disturbs an old research facility. The group travels the island on the boat with Ranger Peny, and Travis, and starts the search. They soon find the body of Dane’s friend Gomez in a tree, as well as Dane’s camera, showing him attacking something. In the video, he talks of a man named Henderson who left him. The group tries to leave, though some of it causes the boat to drift over the lake with Travis, and Penny is pulled into the water by a rope. When Travis tries to save him, he is eaten by the creature, Sam is left to save him, and the group is left stranded on the island.
The remaining survivors find the facility, and enter, and are forced to climb into the second section of the facility using a rope. When the creature, as a 50-foot crocodile, comes, Jade, Sam, and Alice are separated from Billy, Spencer and Penny in the facility. As Jade, Sam and Alice locate the facility, Billy goes down into a dock to reach an electrical outlet to make a phone call to the police. However, he quickly loses signs, and Spencer is pulled into the water, and killed by the crocodile. Penny forces Billy to reach out to others while he stays behind to fight the crocodile. The crocodile follows Penny in a tunnel where he quickly kills him.
